Users are facing difficulties with page loading on Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Threads, all of which are owned by Meta, headed by Mark Zuckerberg, due to server issues.
According to Downdetector, a website that monitors outages, there have been more than 300,000 reported Facebook outages and over 47,000 outages for Instagram worldwide. Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta, the parent company, has acknowledged the issue and assured users that they are actively working to resolve it. Meta spokesperson Andy Stone mentioned on X social media platform, “We’re aware that people are having difficulty accessing our services. We are currently addressing this.”
Stone later confirmed that the issue had been resolved, stating, “Earlier today, a technical glitch hindered access to certain services. We promptly rectified the problem for those affected and apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
Instagram, Facebook, Meta, Messenger not working
Around 8:56 pm, users started having trouble loading content on their feeds, encountering issues with the app, logging in, and uploading content. Additionally, a London-based internet monitoring firm, Netblocks, noted that Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Threads were all experiencing outages affecting login sessions across various countries.
WhatsApp was also impacted by the issues. Meta’s status dashboard showed that the application programming interface (API) for WhatsApp Business was facing problems. Downdetector, a platform that monitors outages by gathering reports from users and other sources, received around 200 reports of WhatsApp outages.

While Musk’s platform continued to function smoothly, users rushed to report the problems they were encountering on Meta platforms. Taking advantage of the situation, the boss of X quickly highlighted the “superiority” of his platform.
